Billy only wore #7 during the 1988 season - after his father (Cal Sr. #7) was fired as manager only six games into that season. No Oriole wore that number until rookie Jackson Holliday debuted in April of 2024.

The letters 'EBW' were added on the left sleeve to honor the passing of owner Edward B. Williams who passed away on August 13th, 1988. The FF card photo doesn't have those letters on the sleeve - indicating it was taken during the first of two trips the Orioles made to Boston in June of 1988.
